Versace – Red Jeans: Overview, Smell, Notes & More!

According to reliable sales reports, Red Jeans by Versace has been making a huge comeback in recent times.

Originally launched in 1994, this floral, fruity fragrance for women has been making waves, largely owing to its resemblance to Guerlain’s Rosa Pop.

Jean-Pierre Bethouart, the nose behind the scent, must be commended for his clairvoyance.

After all, how many of us have the ability to create products that can stand the test of time?

Versace Red Jeans was originally advertised as a fruity floral scent for young romantics.

Fast forward to the present, women of all ages have grown accustomed to the sweet and casual scent.

Everybody likes wearing this scent now!

What Does Versace Red Jeans Smell Like?

The Versace Red Jeans opens up in a grand manner.

It introduces you to a world of delicious creamy peach, cherry, and mango sorbet.

Granted that the sweet, fruity top notes may be a tad synthetic, they still do enough to distinguish themselves from other generic celebrity aromas.

After a while, floral notes of violet, rose, and water lily begin to emerge from the shadows, blending in fabulously with the fruity peach notes.

Then, as time passes, youʼll start detecting notes of vetiver, patchouli, and oakmoss, well rested on sandalwood, vanilla, and light musk.

If you have an untrained nose, youʼll most likely only smell the peach, rose, freesia, violet, vanilla, and apricot.

How Long Does Versace Red Jeans Last For?

Thereʼs no denying the fact that Versace Red Jeans is a nice scent.

It is safe, inoffensive, and versatile enough for most casual gatherings.

Unfortunately, it lacks in the performance department.

In other words—the staying power of the scent isnʼt quite up to the mark.

Since the scent sits close to the skin, it doesnʼt project as well as youʼd want it to.

To make the scent last longer, consider applying it to your clothes instead of your body.

When Should You Wear It?

As I mentioned earlier, the Versace Red Jeans is a safe, inoffensive perfume, making it suitable for most casual gatherings.

Additionally, it smells amazing at the office too.

However, donʼt make the mistake of wearing this spring/summer perfume on a cold winter day.

Presentation and Value For Money

Some may find the Versace Red Jeans objectively dated and kitschy while others may appreciate the vintage-looking bottle a tad bit more.

Personally, Iʼm on the fence when it comes to the bottle and packaging.

As for its scent, I can say that Iʼm a huge fan of its clear white musk dry down as it gives the fragrance a more complex layer, allowing it to be sexy without screaming for attention.

In all earnestness, the first spray and the dry down of the Red Jeans feel like two completely different perfumes.

To say that the dry down smells good would be a huge understatement.

All in all, if we are to consider the cheap price tag of this product, I can say with confidence that at between $20 – $30 for a bottle of Versace Red Jeans, it is definitely a sweet steal!

The Bottom Line

If youʼre on the hunt for an affordable Versace perfume that is safe, inoffensive, and quite unique at the same time, go for Versace Red Jeans without hesitation.

Plus, despite the fact that the sweet fragrance is more on the youthful side, it is suitable for females of all ages.

Considering the cheap pricing on this product, you wonʼt suffer a lot financially even if the perfume fails to meet your expectations.

If your fragrance collection is already stacked, consider offering a bottle of Red Jeans to your near and dear ones.

This bottle will make the perfect gift for someone’s first perfume.

Perfumes that Smell Like Versace Red Jeans

I found the Versace Red Jeans extremely similar to the original Miss Dior Cherie bottle.

The only difference between the two is the fact that one bottle smells more like apples while the other smells more like honeysuckle.

If you love Red Jeans, you’ll also find it similar to other fresh, fruity fragrances such as D&G Floral Drops and Flowerbomb.

And, if I were to compare Red Jeans to other Versace perfumes, I would compare it to Versace Women.

Both scents are clean and sweet, with Red Jeans being a little stronger.
